This is one of my second year university projects. The brief for this project was, ‘Design a desktop chandelier based on the theme word white’. I set out on this project to design a simple and clinical light to manufacture and assemble yet with a distinct aesthetic; I found my inspiration from the form and structural elements of a flower. The chandelier aspect of my design, rather than being the traditional elaborate hanging assembly, is focused on the shadows and rays of light created by the diffusion of the upper section covering the light source.
