In the summer of 2010 I worked with startup company Flix, a new venture in exploring digital delivery technology to cinemas around the world. I helped them define the strategy, brand, and user interface for a global network of large format touchscreens running their film & distribution management software. Creating an application like this, with such an atypical format, was an interesting design and experience challenge. Real-time visualisations of data transfers, geo-location based tagging, and large, touchscreen controls all helped to make it visually interesting, but more importantly, simple, usable and intuitive.
