This is an identity project I’m working on right now for a friend of mine who is a photographer. It’s based on the the Fibonacci series which happened to fit perfectly with the name she chose.
In her words: “Eye, mind and fingers, […] because that’s all you need to take a picture, […] if you find yourself naked you can still frame your picture between your fingers, shoot it with your eyes and store it in your mind.”
The idea was to create a serious identity that yet has a playful potential and that evokes the kind of imagery she is inspired by and likes to take: people, the stories they have to tell, the situations they find themselves in, the setting, architecture, the human landscape, portraits of human presence and lives lived.
I chose a typographic representation so as not to have the logo dictate over the images, rather have letters dispersed in a seemingly random pattern trying to engage people to find the words, further, to discover the stories in the photographs, doing so realizing that there is more to an image than what you see at first glance.
