In this series my self-portrait shows what I
behaving like when people doesn’t see or doesn’t know about me, get to know me
better. It’s the impression that people get when they first see me and it’s
what will stick in their minds after they look at me. My symbolic
representation is what people get to learn about me after they have met me.
After they have first seen me, my self-portrait, they will get to know what
kind of person I really am not just by impression but by what makes me the
person I am on the inside. The symbols represent what is most important to me
and what I like to do.
It’s not just only what I like to do as an
extension, is also the surrounding space that affect me to
think, to rest, to work and to explore. Is the relation between the boundaries
of space area and myself. As from the first photo is my favorite thinking space,
in a living room of 45square meters in front of a black screen television set.
The air in the atmosphere and the quietness during 4am in the morning allows me
to think and work.
The white figure symbolize another extension of
me, to allow others know about my thinking space, my resting space, my work
area and even the surrounding area related to me and what is happening around
my area that affect my grown up process.
How old will I going to be? Therefore this
series of my self-portrait will not just stop only here. The people and
surrounding area still have lots to explore on and to talk about me in this
