Description:
Extend the tectonic and spatial logics from the digital fragment and the organizational matrix for the purpose of ordering an architectural program. A community college will be the programmatic vehicle while also using no glue again.
Strategy:
By creating that tectonic language from the start I was able to extend my fragment into the rest of the campus. All programs are inside one of the three clusters that are located on the corners of the campus. From above the model you can see it also forms a L shape, just like my fragment, all while using no glue.
Organizational Matrix of the campus. I was assigned the word "cluster" to drive the way the campus was organized.
My digital fragment is embedded into the matrix which is shown above.
With the digital fragment being one of the three clusters, shown above is another cluster that will hold program.
The final cluster, located on the opposite corner, has similar tectonic language while also holding more program for the future college campus.
