The brief for this project was to write a limerick about an issue within Graphic Design, then express this in an interesting and experimental way using typography.
I chose to make a large jigsaw with the limerick etched into, I would then paint this white and lay on clear plastic lettering to create a shine to the matte finish. The text itself can only be read when the light is reflecting on the jisaw. For this idea I had researched minimalism and simplicity within design, and the limerick I wrote for this was about how design, no matter how simple it may look, is built up from many different elements all working together.
When it comes to successful design,
There are elements that you combine,
Line, form and colour,
Size, shape and others,
All build up to something sublime.
