I was assigned to create collages using text and image to showcase my experience and feelings towards a specific location or environment. I chose the local Architectural salvage. The Salvage is a huge warehouse overflowing with antiques, scrap material, and everything in between. I was inspired mostly by its sculpture garden outside. In each collage I focused in on one specific item in the garden. The overlapping text that bleeds off the page and the various image overlays was intended to creates a feeling of organized chaos that I felt while taking the pictures at the location. Fall 2012.
