Engineered Confections
- These are variations of the logo I designed for Engineered Confections, a bakery opening up in Decatur, Georgia, that focuses on the precision of engineering. Creating the logo, I wanted to create something that referenced both engineering and actual baked goods.
- After the pie was proposed, I tried a cookie/cupcake, because the pie lacked enough engineering flavor.
- I also tried a more discrete separation between two visual elements.
- I also wanted to do something a little more dimensional, and started to play with the idea of a cake/gear. The idea of meshing something cold and solid with something soft and warm was important for me to convey.
- The final iteration I came up with was a more dimensional pie/gear mark.
