EnLatadeo Contest (Concurso Enlatadeo) is a contest created in Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano where I study. This is it´s fifth version. The main idea of this contest is to create an approach to humanitarian and ecological issues from around the world. As a student you are encouraged to participate in one of several categories in medium such as: Drawing, Painting, Video, Radio, Infographic, Illustration and many others, in this case I chose illustration. There where two main subjects in the contest: Humanitarian Vision, which included Human Rights, Right of speech and Social Inclusion and Ecological Vision which included The importance of water, Global warming, Ways in which humans affect nature and recycling. I was interested in the way humans affect nature and so I created this two illustrations.

The first image is about how deforestation affects the entire planet as it helps global warming. And the second one is about the overexploitation and illegal trade of natural species.

I created this illustrations in graphite pencils in a 35cm x 50cm format. Read Less
