- Embrace Vase
- Nature is the most relaxing environment available to individuals everyday, why not have a little of it at work? This artefact is an object which holds a plant specimen, or a vase and vase base. Designed specifically for those lacking in green fingers, the plant specimen requires nothing more than air, a drop of water from time to time and a little sunlight. For those who like a little more colour, the plant specimen can be removed and replaced with a few for their favourite flowers and some water or water crystals.
The product can be placed on an individual’s desk or shelf. This object is small and light, allowing it to be moved quickly and easily without any fuss.
- The Embrace Vase with the Air Plant. The specified plant genus is that of the Tillandsias, commonly known as 'air plants', which are the largest genus within the bromeliad family. Old Man’s Beard, Tillandsia Usneoides, which is commonly found in Queensland, is a long wiry, greenish–grey plant that uses its sparse wiry roots as an anchorage system. This species has highly developed scales on their leaves through which they absorb all their moisture and nutrients. Old man’s beard practically takes care of itself!
- The vase base, which holds the specimen vial is made from laminated reclaimed wood veneer off cuts, sourced from the manufacturers own excess off cut waste. The vase base is finished with an organic oil sealant to act as a moisture barrier and accentuates the grain of the wood. A polypropylene liner finishes the internal cavity of the vase base, creating a reflective white surface that enhances the test-tube contents.
