I have shot lifestyle images that compliment the catalogs for the Electra Bicycle Company three years in a row now.  What began as simple portrait sessions has expanded to multiple days and locations in and around San Diego.  I love working with Electra because they encourage a loose, vibrant atmosphere that lets the talent (all non-pros) feel comfortable and authentic in front of my camera.  The following images were shot in a single day around Mission Beach and Belmont Park.

The best part about these shoots is that everything is fresh and new - not only have the talent largely never worked on a commercial photo shoot before, but they arrive without knowing anyone else.  We eat breakfast together (crew & talent) and everyone gets to know each other a little bit.  I get to see who resonates with each other and grab a couple to start shooting while we're still "getting ready" for the day.  Before you know it, half the day has flown by and everyone starts to realize that the we've been "working" for hours...
