In these alternative election posters the classic portrait is replaced by a diagram. The underlying basis of this diagram is a model called the Minerva model. It's a model which is used to analyse different segments in the population - but the ideas of the model can also be used in a political way to show a politicians (or partys) political overall standpoint and position on the political spectrum.
It's a biaxial political spectrum chart in which the horizontal line is considered on economic issues while the vertical is often considered on social or cultural issues.
