In 2008, I was contacted by the iconic photographer Dan Winters to collaborate on an editorial project for Los Angeles Magazine’s cover.

We worked so well together that he commissioned me for 3 other projects. One for Fortune Magazine, one for Esquire and another for an LG Phone color print ad featuring an 8’ wide x 6’ tall  neon theatre marquee complete with 48 neon units and 170 flashing incandescent bulbs.

Dan has said about my work, “Todd Sanders is unstuck in time. He offers us a window to the beauty and simplicity of a simpler time but has no trouble navigating the challenges of today. He is a walking encyclopedia of mid-century America and speaks so passionately you would swear that he just appeared in the 21st century via a portal that he hand crafted as elegantly as he crafts his art.”
