Throughout the history of boxing, the greatest fighters of all time have all fought to get one thing: The Championship Belt. We've all seen iconic images with them being held high above the winner's heads. But did you ever wonder who made those belts? I didn't until ESPN the Magazine asked me to shoot Ardash Sahaghian, 91, and his grandson, Ed Majian (top image).

 

Ardash has been designing boxing belts for almost 40 years and is now partnered with his grandson. They named their new company Sartonk, inspired by the Armenian word zartonk, which means rebirth.
