Ecotourism NZ and me go way back. I started working for them in 2006 when they contracted me to promote the first Ecotourism NZ Conference. Six years on the conference is still going strong, and I am still happily helping promote it.
The conference is held nationwide - each year attracting a large number of tourism operators, environmentalists and international keynote speakers. The event has raised the profile of ecotourism as a legitimate industry in New Zealand, and helped influence decision-makers in the tourism sector.
Working closely with Ecotourism NZ's project manager, I write media releases, brochures, advertisements, newsletters, articles for specialist publications and conference programmes.
I have secured high-profile media publicity for Ecotourism NZ across all mainstream media outlets, online and in specialist publications.
Media publicity includes:
- Interviews on Radio NZ (Nine-to-Noon, Morning Report, Checkpoint, Sunday with Chris Laidlaw), Radio Live, Newstalk ZB
- News story on TVNZ One News (Ecotourism NZ Conference 2009, Nelson.)
- Stories in Dominion Post, The Press, The NZ Herald and other national newspapers.
- Articles in various publications including the NZ Listener, Tourism Business Magazine and Inside Tourism
