Dunmore East Harbour was a very old harbour, and unfortunately to say; a dying fishing harbour. A new initiative was set up to try regenerate harbour through various stimulations like attracting businesses, tourism and funding

During briefing, the client made it clear they are seeking "regenerative"  type of logo. I was first inspired by the Greek god Asclepius and what he wields. God Asclepius, in Greek mythology which is intimately connected with the sea, is a deity associated with healing, and he wields a rod with intertwined serpent. If you can remember the usual pharmacy symbol, then you are thinking of the right thing. Second, I've decided to use a cliché symbol for harbour because it best fitted my concept, which was to get across the notion that this logo is related to  restoring harbour. After all, a cliché is a cliché because it works. And lastly, I chose an achor shape that resembles a smile because client cooperates with "Family Friend" organization, and my client wanted their logo to also be approachable.
