Brief - Dungeness
To create a graphic piece that would capture the essence of Dungeness, Kent a surreal environment that I would visit throughout the project.
I would visit Dungeness on three days in the view to capture the tone of the environment, using three different cameras, a Nikon D70, Nikon D90 and Nikon 300 I used photography as my media of presenting the town from three different view points. The first a bleak, hard edged tone, the second a warmer appearance with cool colours and a fresh tonal range, and the third viewed as a mediocre beach townthat throws nothing out of the ordinary.
A hand bound hardback open Coptic book presented the three series of Dungeness snapshots. The cover was screen printed with illustrations of the iconic stylistic housesfound in Dungeness, a set of three. The book was
to act as a vehicle to represent the three different angles/viewpoints of the controversial location. The layout changes and evolves throughout the book to represent thechange of viewpoint.
