Duel to the Death concepts

In this personal project, I decided to pay homage to one of my favorite Kung Fu films of all time: Duel to the Death, directed in 1983 by Siu-Tun Ching.  This is a classic, and one of the last old-school flicks of its genre, avoiding excessive use of wire stunts and sticking to good, old-fashioned boxing and a decent measure of cheesy blood-splattering.  But in typical Chinese fashion, the poetry and the drama of the story is never forgotten and each scene is beautiful, which is what gave me my inspiration.  Gouache and ink.
