To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the beginning of the building of The Berlin Wall on the 13th of August 1961, Dudes Factory, in cooperation with Lux Pop Art Group, has created the first German “Freedom Park“. An open air exhibition of segments of The Berlin Wall on the former border line on the grounds of the nhow Hotel.

Freedom Park opened on the 13th of August 2011 with a five day “Live-Paint“ event, where 13 internationally renowned artists employed a total of 17 original pieces of the wall as blank canvasses.

Freedom Park is a public exhibition on display until the 25th anniversary of the fall of The Berlin  Wall, on the 9th of November 2014. A total of 50 artists invited by the Dudes Factory will be participating.

The exposed Wall segments originate from the former inner-city border between Brandenburger Tor and Potsdamer Platz. Each L-Element weighs about 2,750 kg, each T-Element about 3,300 kg, and they measure approximately 3.6 metres high and 1.2 metres wide.
