Philips DUAL Remote Control

Philips DUAL Remote Control (2010)

Philips Home Controls division engaged NextOfKin Creatives to bring sexy back to remote controls! Yesterday web access and interaction were restricted to PC devices mainly. Today, connected TVs bring the internet of things to the living room domain.

The contoured rear profile enable comfortable holding and resting positions for both hands when using the remote control for information input and web surfing.

Integrating dual functions into a remote control meant clarity of functions. The front was kept as the television plane and the rear designed as the web information plane. Keeping this duality retained logic in habitual usage and function access. The on board sensors detects the orientation and activates the correct mode.
