In 2001 for my final year photography project titled as 'Dream machine' I chose to shoot scale models. It was an interesting idea.
The project comprised of twenty-odd images. However, only four of those featuring a Harley Davidson (Pan Head), 1:18 scale model manufactured by Maisto (automobile scale model manufacturer) are presented here.
The backgrounds are made up of texture and thick card papers. Icy ground in a couple of images is nothing but fine salt. I really enjoyed doing this project. Harley is my dream machine. The featured scale model actually inspired me to do this project.
That year I won a college award for the project. In 2009 I came across a very prestigious international photography award competition called 'International Photography Awards - IPA. I entered these images under the same title and won 2 Honorable Mentions.
