I often find myself drawn to things in life with an aura of contradiction. This is an inherent dichotomy of nature that makes me think deeper about what I’ve just experienced. In my community, drag queens are the manifestation of contradiction, so naturally I am fascinated by these performers. Men who like men and dress up as women probably confuses a lot of people and can make people feel uncomfortable. I never saw these men as cross-dressing weirdo’s. I see artists, illusionists, actors, and performers. This past year I became close with a group of Denver Queens and even did drag myself.
