Στοπαρελθόν ο γάμος αποτελούσε μια ξεκάθαρα εμπορική πράξη, την οποία σφράγιζε τοπροικοσύμφωνο. Ήταν επίσημο έγγραφο, το οποίο συντασσόταν πριν από το γάμο.Είχε τη μορφή ιδιωτικού συμφωνητικού, που καθόριζε την προίκα την οποία θαλάβαινε ο γαμπρός από τη νύφη. Πολλές φορές, πέραν της οικονομικής, αποτελούσεκαι πολιτική συμφωνία.

Μεχιουμοριστική διάθεση και θέλοντας να γεφυρώσουμε το παρελθόν με το παρόν,αντλήσαμε έμπνευση για το σχεδιασμό αυτής της πρόσκλησης γάμου, από το γλωσσικόιδίωμα με το οποίο συντάσσονταν τα προικοσύμφωνα.

Ηπρόσκληση έχει τυπωθεί σε όρθιο πιεστήριο με χρήση κλισέ σε χαρτί 60γρ./μ2, καισε φάκελο με γόμα, διαστάσεων 22,5χ10,5εκ. Σχεδιαστήκαν 4 διαφορετικέςσφραγίδες, ενώ οι προσκλήσεις σφραγίστηκαν και υπεγράφησαν μία-μία στο χέρι απότους γονείς, τους κουμπάρους, τον γαμπρό και τον θέσει συμβολαιογράφο (ΧρήστοςΤριβυζάς).

In the past marriage was clearlya commercial act, certified by the dowry. The dowry was a legal document drawnup before the wedding. It had the form of a private agreement that determinedthe dowry which the groom would receive from the bride. The nature of theagreement was often political as well as economic.

In a humorous mood and in anattempt to connect the past with the present, we drew inspiration for thedesign of this wedding invitation from the written idiom in which dowries wereredacted.

The invitation was printed on a letterpress on 60gr/m 2 paper and on a 22.5χ10.5cm size retro style envelope. Four different stamps were designed and theinvitations where sealed and signed one by one by the parents, the best men,the groom and the suggested notary (Chris Trivizas).
