DOME-WAVE is a microwave born with the desire of creating a product that is visually integrated within the objects of the kitchen landscape.
I am interested in the link with traditional tools for cooking, serving and preserving food, those that perhaps our mothers still use in their kitchens.
It is a microwavewishes to make a reference to the traditional kitchen and more precisely to the serving dishes that have a dome shaped lid. I find that such objects truly express the ritual of cooking as the pleasant experience that we attempt to re-discover.
I have always wondered why current microwaves are so foreign to the kitchen environment and seem to relate more to a TV box than to a cooking tool.
