- Does it sickens you? Me too!Special thanks to: my local butcher, Chez mon cochon
Four month ago, Quebecers' students went on strike to protest against the announced raise of tuition fees... What began as yet another protestation against a government bill has now grown into an open conflict between the population and a government who seems to behave like its citizens' opinion doesn't matter.
Since the early days, the red square has been chosen as a symbol of the conflict...
- Under the hood:
For this shot, I've used a Canon EOS 500D with a 50mm F/1.8 prime Canon lens mounted on a tripod. The ''subject'' is placed on a waxed paper (which is responsible for that wavy texture around the shadows) and lit by a light hanging above as a diffuser, and another one skimming the surface to highlight the texture of the meat. Finally a white cardboard placed at the opposite act as a reflector to soften the shadow's hardness.
At his face, I am pretty sure that this was the first time the butcher was asked for some meat, not to eat, but one that would look great on a picture!
