Digital fabrication projects include polygon-based modeling in Maya, and nurbs-based modeling in Rhino. The polygon modeling project consisted of modeling an object in Maya and "unfolding" it and adding tabs in Pepakura. With some modifications, this file was formatted to be laser cut onto bristol board that was then folded and glued into the final product. The nurbs project consisted of measuring a Lego bionicle piece then creating a digital replica of it in Rhino. The finished model was formatted for a 3D printer and then printed, producing the final product.
