Digital Fabric for Interweave and Stitch Magazine

  • From Paper Cut to Fabric
My Digital Fabric for Interweave Magazine

Interweave magazines asked me to design 3 complementary paper cut motifs that would be turned into digital fabric.  I wrote an accompanying article that described the design process, which was published in Interweave's "Cloth Paper Scissors" magazine.  http://www.annabondoc.com/blogs/blog/6285984-my-first-digital-fabric-for-interweave-magazines
  • My "Kimono Flower" fabric, from hand-cut card stock (bottom left) to digital fabric (background).
  • "Whorl", hand-cut paper pattern designed to accompany "Kimono Flower".
  • "Stacked Petal" pattern created by rearranging the interior cutaway petals of "Kimono Flower".
  • Fabric 1, "Kimono Flower": The original motif, created with an X-acto knife. Hand-cut and layered cardstock was scanned and turned into vector art.
