Diego Stocco meets luthier Julia de Lucca

While I was in Italy for the live of "Music from a Tree", I had the fantastic opportunity to meet a very talented and respected luthier, Julia De Lucca.
She liked the experimental nature of my Experibass and we discussed the idea of building an instrument together.
I have the feeling that this might evolve into something beautifully creative : )Here you can see some pictures of her laboratory and a short video:

This is a precious Grancino violin, currently under restoration.
Another great violin, a Fratelli Amati from Cremona.
Cello pegs and bridges.
The conquer of the bridge : )
Julia gave me some for my next experiments.
Me holding a Japanese Backsaw.
I warned Julia that leaving me around in her shop with a saw might be very dangerous : D
Julia explains me something about a viola she was fixing.
The amount and intricacy of details known by a luthier is incredibly fascinating.
Here I was checking out some cello, viola and violin fingerboards.
A rack full of brand new viola and violin bridges.
Julia fixing an antique bow.
