Dice / Behind the Pixels
When have so few pixels offended so many? DICE and the amazing
agency, Barkley, really went for it on this campaign. Their willingness
to push the boundaries of taste and amazmentariness makes these spots
the most highly-discussed low-fi since the humble gif was animated.
We had a fantastic time bringing these to life. As simple as they may
appear, we did a great deal of R&D with regard to character design,
animation styles and pixelation studies. Our team ultimately landed on
illustrating and animating everything with a secret recipe in Photoshop CS5.
