Diamond Auto was looking to update a 10-year old MS Access application to current technologies. This application was responsible for vehicle inventory, customer memberships, client (insurance company) accounts, and online bidding of vehicles.
Pain points included: separate applications and databases for different office locations, tedious data entry, and insufficient reporting functionality. Heart designed and developed an ASP.NET web application to facilitate inventory management, online bidding, and robust reporting functionality to offices in Calgary and Edmonton.
The centralized database provides an increase in quality control and faster turnover on vehicle lifecycles within the system, more accurate reporting, and scalability for future yard sites.
Providing portals for both insurance companies and buyers has resulted in a more enjoyable experience for both groups, as they can now see accurate, up-to-date records of their respective accounts.
