Deuces Wild
- «Deuces Wild» is newly-formed duet of guitarists, based in St. Petersburg, Russia. The very name of the band evokes not only the term borrowed from the vocabulary of gamblers but the early rock’n’roll era bringing into the memory such masters of surf and garage rock as Link Wray, Dick Dale, The Lively Ones, The Tornadoes etc.
Inspired by quite a number of marquee musicians of the past and being largely influenced by the Wild West musical heritage the band’s been aiming to revitalize on the stage the great forgotten tunes, nowadays available on the records only.
What we are seeking to perform is purely instrumental pieces. Besides we have converted several well-known songs confirming to the idea of “surf-rock-western-like” sound and included some of the renowned compositions of Joe Satriani just in case you are one of his many fans.
