Course Assignments

  • Course Assignments.
  • This project is a collection of some of the briefs that I have completed while doing my Design Course.  Each assignment is unique and comes with its own challenges.
  • This is a close up of some hand woven text made in illustrator.  This was a concept born from the idea that all monograms were hand designed and crafted back in the Victorian era.
  • This was the final piece, once I had finished the technique over the entire monogram design.
  • This is a cover that was designed as part of an assignment, that was focused around designing a feature article for a tourist destination, that was to appear in the magazine Locale.
  • This is an example of a double page spread designed for the feature article.
  • This is a close-up of the art work I designed as an illustration to sit on the cover.   It's an abstract piece of the Cape Town 2010 world cup soccer stadium in South Africa.
  • This was the final piece that I created with the watercolours that I showcased in another Behance Project. The brief said to include at least one recipe, introduction text of no more than 40 words and at least one image that made reference to ingredients.  I opted for a classical layout, I feel it's an accurate representation of Italy.
  • This was one of my very first assignments. It was to explore the wonderful world of monograms and then create a poster that would highlight a fictitious monogram workshop that would take place in your area.
  • This was an idea for one for my assignments that I had to create. The brief was to re-design the covers of two classic novels for a modern audience.  This concept was inspired by Jan Tschicholds layout of the Penguin Books back in the 1940's.
  • This was the second concept around the Classic Book design assignment.  My approach in this design was far more contemporary and made use of a larger image space.
  • These logos form part of a project brief which required us to design 3 logos for a fictitious company.  The logo should sum up the qualities that the company wishes to describe to their market. I wanted the company to be viewed as different from it's competitors while being at the forefront of Eco and Green movements.
  • I chose this logo as my recommended design.  It embodied everything I wanted the company to stand for, while having an unique approach in style.
  • The above made up part of my pitch document and shows some ideas I had for corporate collateral.
