Last Summer I spent an amazing 10 days shooting in and around Yosemite National Park in California.

 

  Early one morning after  shooting  the sunrise at Alabama Hills in the Mojave Desert, I pulled in to a parking lot for some much needed sleep. After a short nap I took a walk and came across a surreal scene of a softball tournament in the desert .

 

  I ended up spending the entire day with one of the teams and was kindly allowed to shoot their portraits. Despite the lack of facilities and the harshness of the playing conditions, the temperature was nearly 100 degrees fahrenheit,  their enthusiasm was infectous.
