OPPORTUNITY

Create a series of book covers for a specific audience that expresses a concept which flows across the four books. 

 

SOLUTION

I created this series specifically for deep, “tortured souls” who desire thought-provoking novels or authors that they can have “conversations” with. Because of their ability to ruminate, these deep individuals may be very creative, have various mental illnesses (such as depression), or both. I wanted to praise this ability as a gift that very few possess. By reading these novels, these deep individuals can be brought into this deep state of thought, and therefore, be placed into the mind-set they are gifted with.

Each novel was created completely by hand. The titles, authors, and sketches were hand-drawn. The images were createdby layering the individual components and scanning them.
