- Decomposure & The LandscapePositive to Negative
The BA/BSc Media and Cultural Studies enabled me to understand the positions and functions of the media in society, how they reflect and create meanings and how they are important influences on our personal identities within the wider culture.
Modules include: Advanced Digital Imaging, Photography, 3D Animation, Publishing, Professional Client Work, Advertising, Consuming Visions and Web Design.
We observe and analyze culture, how we behave in society, what we value and what we believe, and how all of these are represented in television, music, radio, fashion, comedy, virtual environments, webpages, newspapers, magazines, galleries and mainstream and alternative film.
This provided me with a deep understanding of contemporary society and computer design, which served as a background to a whole range of professions that deal with social or commercial issues. Graduates from Media and Cultural Studies have gone into market research, magazines, journalism, advertising, graphic design and photography.
