OPPORTUNITY
One of the most extensive projects I have ever undertaken was a complete branding design of a new company based on a currently successful one. We were asked to create a new company with both a new name and logo. Once these were created, we needed to implement them into new letter heads, business cards, envelopes and our choice of different promotional materials that would be use advertise this new company.
 
SOLUTION
Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey is the pinnacle whiskey brand. I chose to create a new company based on this brand because of the wide variety of ways this alcohol company promotes and advertises their products. The name I chose for this new brand, “Dead Wood Whiskey,” symbolizes the wild west history of the whiskey. To strengthen this concept, the tagline “For Gamblers and Gunfighters” expresses the kind of people who drank this whiskey and the people the customer is embodying while drinking it. To give the brand a face, I created a new bottle label that used large dark typography on a white background that would stand out on the store shelves and demand attention. Since this is a premium whiskey brand, I also created both wanted posters and stickers to advertise the brand. Basing my posters and stickers off of the original wanted posters of the wild west, the bottle becomes criminal and the reward is worth the find.
