Society constantly appeases the impatient person. There are so many clichéd statements about time that aim to alleviate frustration in the waiting areas of life. Phrases like, 'good things come to those who wait' pacify anxious striving, but also distract to the point of complacency.
Once one can learn to get lost in time, no longer counting every passing second, then seasons fly by and circumstances change dramatically. There will be waiting, but as it's been said, "If you're willing to stand forever, you won't be standing very long". Get lost in something you love. Sacrifice time to joyful, purposeful living. You may be waiting for your dreams to come to fruition or for a breakthrough moment, but life continues. Choose to maintain your position with grace and poise.
No matter how long we remain where we stand, we are not on hold. We are not waiting. We are not idle. We are seizing the unlimited potential in each moment. We are reveling in the process of becoming. We are busy being brought to our destiny.
