Every day we’re surrounded by seemingly insignificant objects, carrying them from place to place or equally disregarding them on our tables for weeks on end.
We tend to ignore them, calling upon their function as and when it’s required, paying more attention to making sure they don’t interfere with our use of space.
What if they weren’t so stable and subservient?
What if they possessed the capabilities to swivel, bounce or even fly?
And what if... they all decided to do so simultaneously?
We imagined a place where objects could live and move harmoniously, each of their own accord. Without interfering with each other these objects could bounce, roll, turn and tumble across each other’s paths.
This experiment was about re-discovering our daily surroundings. Shown here is the making of our interactive video, originally created for the ‘If You Could Collaborate’ exhibition. Each object was assigned a letter on the keyboard and could be activated at any time.
