DANDELIONS
Part of my Printmaking elective at University, Dandelions is a handmade book where each frame is inspired by the wispy, floaty and dreamy dandelion, reminiscent of childhood fascination. Each panel is different right from the type of paper used to the treatment of the paper. By holding the book up against the light and rotating it, shapes and shadows form a story told sequentially by each panel, from the dandelion taking flight to when it floats off the page. After the story has been told, the reader can walk away with a memory of it, in the form of a delicate paper dandelion they have been given instructions to make.
