We had to use the principles we learned throughout the semester in Typography 1 to create a cohesive booklet about a person/place we chose. Dan Eldon has been an inspiration for me to pursue design/journalism which is why I chose him. I chose the cover based off of Eldon's journals - which are decorative collages with mixed media. I wanted to represent the type of art Eldon enjoyed to create - while also including some actual pages from his journals. We had to use a grid style to design - mine is a three column grid. It was printed as a 6x9 Booklet bound with a spiral to resemble the journals in which Eldon used.
