Asked by the Vice President of design - Trevor Creed to solve a unique lighting solution with the Tomahawk. The lighting was called out in the design but no one had a clue how to design and implement it. Within six-weeks I was able to step in and design the forward and rear lighting along with the turn indicators on the handle bars. Extreme vibrations, packaging space and electronics were critical success elements that needed to be addressed. LEDs were chosen and then a suitable packaging was designed and implemented. The first projection light engine was born.
The result, highly integrated functional lighting, that was suitable for street use and driving at high speeds.
