The following concepts are proposed designs used to update the current look and feel for www.dtra.mil.
The above concept version 1 is a clean version of the DTRA.mil site using the existing content rearranged in a more UI feel.

This is concept version 2 in which the customer requested a very similar look that matches the current look for the site. The customer wanted to utilitze the color theme and not overwhelm the agency with a massive change in layout.
Concept version 3 is a completely different approach to the layout and color theory outlined. This concept utilitize dynamic panes that change with new pictures as opposed to a slideshow gallery. The tiles in this change images over a period of seconds to allow other news images to appear. Upon mouse over of the tiles, the tile flips and the entire story can be read without having the user drill down to access the information. The idea came from a baseball card concept.
Same concept just done in orange as that color represents hazardous material. This is a direct relationship as to the mission in which we provide.
