DIMENSION DATA 3D Projection-Map
- THE BRIEFTo create an engaging opening to the 2011 Dimension Data satellite technology conference that would require a space pod, carrying the chief company CEO, undergoing a space journey from the main campus on earth to a mothership in the far reaches of space. Timescale for the project was two and a half weeks of full production.
- FINAL DIGITAL ANIMATION
- PRE-PRODUCTIONThe sequence would be a staged projection-mapping displayed on a series of screens to further enhance the impact of the sequence. The event relied on a construction with a main oval-designed substrate to keep the shape of the 'space pod' central to the rest of the movie.
- STORYBOARD
Storyboards were put together to plan out the duration and details of the sequence. 
- DESIGN AND BUILDING: VFX BREAKDOWNSThe ship and virtual set pieces were a combination of 3d modeling as well as matte paintings.
