While working at Neon Marcomms I was one of several web designers involved with the design of the Global Career Company website. As this company found jobs within the home countries of internationally-based candidates its website needed to convey a sense of professionalism to employers and candidates alike. I took care, then, to make these web pages quite clean, crisp, and minimal. I also used pictures of happy international professionals to reflect the aspirations of candidates and employers, and I repeated the watermarked image of a stylised world map in many areas to reflect the company’s international nature. The tabs at the top of every page were intended to evoke the filing tabs common to a professional, office environment.
