A lot of strategy went into the development of these sets. The gift was intended for a group from China. I researched Chinese gift giving and numerology in coming up with the idea. The company giving the gift is Italian, so bocce was an appropriate tie-in. Eight is an auspicious number and there are eight balls in a set. The booklet included was written in both English and Chinese, and it explains the corporate values, brief history of bocce and instructions on how to play the game. It was very important to the company to give a meaningful gift. The care and customization that went into these sets was incredible. A very unique opportunity and one-of-a-kind project.
