Dear Doily Table
The tabletop contains a laser-cut pattern which is drawn from an old doily that my grandmother made.The prototype is made out of one square meter of raw hardboard, 3 mm tick and 4 strips, 60 cm long.
The production of a doily represents traditional values of hand made creativity. Nowadays, people rarely deal with crochet, although it is still present in our environment.
One of the most recognizable views of doily as an item of home decoration; is a doily on the table. Instead of a doily on the table, in this case the doily becomes a table. Instead of time spent on making the real doily, we have the doily as an already made decoration on the table.
