Brian Wenning lets his skating speak for itself. Joining DC in 2001, Brian Wenning classically has had a reputation as a skateboarder who avoids the spotlight, though he has been making an impact recently at select demos and on the 2006 DC Australia Tour. Now, for Spring 2007, Wenning is getting the first signature model of his career.
Brian Wenning possesses unmatched board control. He brings innovation that most people envy and multi-terrain trick precision that’s rare among modern skateboarders—he can do it all. Over the past few years,
Wenning has gained the reputation as a skateboarder who avoids the spotlight, choosing to shine based on quality not quantity. Recently though, he made a major impact on the 2006 DC Australia Tour and has been blowing minds at select demos. Luckily for the fans of his skating, the classically elusive Wenning is about to find the spotlight a lot harder to avoid.
As a highlight in the Spring 2007 skate shoe line, DC is proud to introduce the Brian Wenning Pro Model. Drawing inspiration from the Lynx, one of the best-selling DC skate shoes of all time, The Wenning is the first new signature model since Ryan Smith’s signature shoe in 2005.
The all-new pro model shoe is packed with tons of exclusive DC technologies designed to help you skate better. Key among these features is a new version of our DGT+™, a rubber outsole engineered for the ideal blend of grip and board control. DGT+™ employs our specially-formulated Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR), an exceptionally sticky material that DC has brought back into the skate shoe line for the Brian Wenning Pro Model.
The Wenning is made of our versatile Super Suede™ upper and features a TPR underlay, ensuring the highest possible durability. Translation: extra protection in high abrasion areas and fewer blowouts, all while maintaining a traditional suede feel. To finish it off, Heel Gel™ has been added for increased comfort and shock absorption.
