    Co-Branding for Logitech and Trek.
  • Our assignment was given to my team as "In a team, students will develop a new co- branding product and additional touch points that support the newly developed product. " We had four weeks. Choosing Logitech and Trek as our companies for this fictional co-branding assignment we decided to tackle the concept of rider safety. Our problem redefinition was born "Create a user friendly safety product using Trek’s superior knowledge of bike systems and light weight material with Logitech’s advanced market for high quality technology products. This co-branding effort will increase the road safety and awareness of the avid tech savvy road bicyclist."

Using our research from each company, we created a persona that we would target this new product too. From that persona we began developing concepts for him. The team finalized on three products to present to the class. A helmet system with turn signals, an ipod charging dock with head lights, and a seat with taillights that also highlight your personal space on the road. From class discusion and what better fit our objectives for our persona we decided to further our helmet system.

Our helmet system is a concept of applying voice activated led turn signals to a bicycle helmet. Being on the helmet this raises the lights higher allowing better visibility on the road. The helmet can be charged through a usb plug in on the helmet. This product if went into actual production we would expect to sell around $200. A small price for rider safety.
My contribution the the project was helping with research, ideation, the graphics for the helmet system first concept (original poster, marketing materials, logo ideas and original package design.) I also design the final package system and aided in logo design.
