These images are something that I have been working on for about six-months off and on now, in amongst work and other commitments of course. Each is the same size- around 35cm tall by 17cm wide in the most unforgiving medium ever- Gouache! It was my intention to combine an intense viewing experience with elements of science-book-diagram aesthetic and a slightly absurdist version of those kid's books that show the inner workings of hovercraft, medieval castles and insects....
So far I have completed a volcano, the Berghof, a tree, a giant-squid attack, a Zeppelin raid and the Cerne Abbas Giant. Rest assured there will be many more, with a selection of the best to be made into a book.
