Counterform is a form which has not been realized as an object and balances on the borders of ideal and real. That's why in his project Nazar Bilyk uses an imagination of the viewer as a raw material. The author creates in order we could see something that precedes our perception, imagine potential form, avoiding common binary oppositions and evaluative judgments. However, this freedom turns into an illusion. It only gives some hint of the future image, representing the need of counterform and arguing that each form always presupposes a counterform and vice verse. “Counterform” is a “shadow synthesis” which creates a “shadow” analytical row without any prime cause detection. ” Read Less
